What's Ascending Depths?

Ascending Depths is a visual narrative dedicated in creating a cleaner planet through refining and using recyclable waste with it's products. But also a highlight on different aspects of Taino Culture with a Sci-fi fantasy lens.

Design & Development

The toy line as a whole began development in December of 2020, and has been growing non-stop to this day. Always seeking to innovate in new creative ways. One of the biggest hurdles for this line of buildable figures was to invent a new building system that was not hindered by the inconsistencies of reused plastic. Where even if there was a defect, it wouldn't affect the play quality of the figures. As such all elements were made to be abstract enough to allow a canvas of possibility.

As the design of the building system evolved over the years, so too, did the design language for the inhabitants of said story. Harkening closer to a hyper detailed aesthetic in the beginning verses how designs now are reflected. Designs were changing so rapidly that it made character design almost impossible. But once the T.R.I.B.S.(Tailored Re-constructable Intuitive Building System), was created. it allowed for more designs to flow more naturally.

Prologue (excerpt from Book 1):

In the far vast reaches of space, where things implode and explode with gracious beauty yet terror of what is yet to be, there is one general truth. That existence flows in either cycles of what is meant to be or of what can be. Both possibilities can weigh the soul from its own potential. It is at the end of the cycle of cycles which came before where our tale begins, at the ending of stories long forgotten. This is the tale of Ascending Depths. Far beyond in the beautiful spectacle within the galaxy of Exobia Vizar lies a blue world. Its oceans shimmered with allure yet mystery. The island which nestled above its waters grew with lush green vegetation, vast deserts, snowy summits, and caves that seemed to stretch for miles. Looming in its horizon up in the sky of the island was a shimmering city. Its architecture is advanced yet sleek. Forged from glass and metal. Billows of smoke huffed from the factories that were located on the far side of The City of Vo. But with such a grand spectacle that comes from such a glowing world, darkness and corruption lingers. Beings of techno-organic physiology reside upon Lelido. It is their different squabbles that have divided a once utopian way of life. Some hold onto what was, others continue on what can be, and few seek to keep the peace. Yet darkness has grown for many seasons...
